There are too many entries to mention at this stage, so we are going to look at the front-runners for the Grand National 2013. The bookmakers can’t seem to pick a stand-out favourite at the moment as both On His Own and Prince De Beauchene are available at 10/1.

On His Own had an impressive win at Navan earlier in the week and that moved him from 12/1 with many bookies to the 10/1 that he is now. Willie Mullins is the man that trains the nine-year-old and even he seemed slightly surprised with how Own His Own ran in his first race of the campaign.

He showed what quality he has and now, the Gelding is sure to be heavily backed to win at Aintree.

On His Own might race once more before the Grand National, so now could be the time where you get the best value on him. Mullis is also representing Prince De Beauchene, who was the favourite for last year’s Grand National until injury intervened.

The ten-year-old returned to the track in December 2012 though and won a race over hurdles, so is another sure to be in contention here. As long as Prince De Beauchene stays fit, Mullins could enjoy a superb day at Aintree.

Cappa Bleu and Seabass are then both at 16/1 and the former has shown signs of returning to form after a lengthy spell out through injury.

The eleven-year-old has finished second in two runs this term, so a win in the Grand National might surprise a few. Seabass came third in this event last year and it was a run that really showed how good he can be on his day.

The experience of 2012 is sure to benefit Seabass coming into this one and if his stamina improves, he certainly has a chance.

Colbert Station and Chicago Grey are both at 16/1 and the latter comes into the Grand National in fine form following a win at Navan in a Grade Two event earlier in the month.

Chicago Grey had a very disappointing 2011/12 campaign, but things seem to be clicking and the ten-year-old is in with a chance at Aintree.

Join Together and Wyck Hill are then both being offered at 16/1 and with the former being trained by Paul Nicholls, he is sure to be a contender as the champion trainer was the winner of the Grand National last year with Neptune Collonges.

These two are both likely to be in action before the famous race though, so it might be worth seeing how they get on.

Highly-rated Sunnyhillboy is a 25/1 shot, along with Beshabar, Teaforthree and The Package.

With so much quality on show, it is difficult to pick a winner at this early stage.

After a 33/1 winner last year, anything can happen. It should be a thrilling encounter on April 6.
